Ernie Shuler wins the Fish Off at The Green River
The Butler County Bassmasters club hold a fish-off every year that consists of a two day tournament. Because the club had such a good time last year at the fish-off we voted in The Green River again this year. We had a great time and caught some fish. Ernie Shuler would take the win weighing in 4 bass for 8.25lbs which also included the overall Big Bass of 4.25lbs. Congrats to Ernie on the win. Andy Tobe would weigh in 6 bass weighing 7.62lbs to take second place. Nice job Andy! Rounding out the top 3 Herman Baker weighed in 3 bass for 4.93lbs. Good job Herman! Due to Ernie wanting to keep the sure money he did not want to let his big fish ride for day 2 which gave the group another chance to catch a big bass. Bob Farmer would take the day 2 big bass weighing one in at 3.42lbs to win a little money! Good job Mr. Farmer! Another great Fish-Off and everyone had a great time. Lots of food and stories!
AOY Updated Through Tanners Creek
Baker Takes the Win at Tanners Creek
On a very strange day at Tanners Creek where no one in the club would weigh in more than 1 fish Herman Baker found the biggest to win the event. Herman weighed in 1 nice largemouth that obviously would also take big bass at 3.15lbs. A very nice river bass. Josh Zeller also brought a nice largemouth to the scales weighing 2.58lbs and would take second place. Bob Farmer would round out the top three with a largemouth weighing 1.04lbs.
AOY Standings Updated through Rising Sun
Andy Tobe takes the Win at Rising Sun
Andy Tobe would bring the only 5 bass limit to the scales at Rising Sun on our sixth stop of the 2023 Tourney season. Andy’s 5 bass weighed 4.35lbs and would be enough for the win. Josh Zehler would come in second place weighing 3.90lbs and would also take big bass with a 1.85lb largemouth. Rounding out the top three would be Matt Townsley with 3 bass weighing 3.26lbs. Congrats to all!
Updated AOY Through Eagle Creek
Ken Reatherford Wins his First Club Tourney at Eagle Creek
On an overcast day on the river the fishing was tough. There were no limits caught and several club members did not weight in a fish. However, there were a few guys that found some fish. Pokie (Kenneth Reatherford) found 4 fish to weigh in for 5.12lbs and took first place for his first win in the club! Congrats Pokie! Herman Baker (a new club member) weighed in 3 fish for 4.35lbs and would take second place. Herman would also take big bass with a 2.75lb largemouth. Congrats Herman! And rounding out the top 3 spots would be Darrell Penny weighing in 2 fish for 2.57lbs. Congrats to all who weighed in fish!
