2022 A New Season

Alright club members I have finally caught up and I believe we have everything moving in the right direction minus pics which I am still trying to get. I have deleted the past couple of posts in order not to clutter up the web page any more than it already is… Please take a look and let me know if you see anything out of line. Everything is updated through our last tourney at Rocky Fork.

Andy Tobe is the Butler County Bassmaster 2021 Angler of the Year!

After coming close a number of years 2021 would turn out to be Andy’s year! He carried a strong start of the season all the way through the finale. Andy had a strong finish at both Lake Laramie as well as the two day tourney at Indian / St. Marys that would put him in the lead for good. Andy would weighed 3 fish in the last tourney of the season to hold off Ernie Shuler and secure the coveted AOY title. Congratulations to Andy Tobe on a great season!!!

Ernie Shuler takes the “W” at Rocky Fork

On a very cold brisk November morning the club would fish the last tourney of the 2021 season at Rocky Fork Lake. Ernie Shuler would find a limit of 5 bass weighing 7.06lbs to take the win. Andy Tobe would weigh in 3 fish weighing 3.70lbs to place second at the tournament and secure his first AOY title. Steve Travis would round out the top three with 2 fish weighing 2.30lbs.

Ernie Schuler Wins 2021 Fish-Off at Cumberland

With some rain, wind and cold temps the Butler County Bassmasters would weigh in 11 bass over two days for a total weight of 13.73lbs. Ernie Schuler would come out on top with 5.06lbs and take big bass. Bob Farmer would place 2nd with 3.62lbs and Bill Schneider would round out the top three with 2.40lbs. Some tough fishing with the weather but another great trip for the group.

Ernie Shuler Wins at White Oak

A mid September tourney on the Ohio River would see Ernie Shuler take the win at White Oak finishing with 4 bass for a total weight of 5.49lbs. Bill Schneider would finish second with 3 bass for 4.13lbs and rounding out the top three Rick Hensler would finish with 2 bass for 3.70lbs. Bob Farmer would take the Big Bass honors with a nice largemouth weighing in at 3.17lbs.

Hensler wins 2nd Tourney in a row

On a very hot day in early August and at a brand new lake for the club this year only three fish would be weighed in at Bischoff Reservoir. While most club members caught lots of bass finding a 14″ keeper proved to be a very difficult task. Rick Hensler would take the win and big bass with a 1.43lb largemouth while Tony Vieson would take 2nd place with a 1.36lb largemouth. Herb Jones would round out the top three with a 1.35lb largemouth.
